Gwen Stacey was cool! Seems like about time for the Black Cat to appear in a Spidey movie. It's starting to look like to me that the next Spider-man movie is going to more than likely go back to high school and feature a younger Peter Parker. __________________ |

I read that rumor has it they are looking for a replacement for Tobey to play Peter Parker, and the two possible replacements so far are very young. http://www.latinoreview.com/news/who-might-be ...

Here's the latest and it doesn't sound like they are going to change Peter Parkers now. These things are probably going to keep changing till something solid is put down. One thing is for sure. Spider-man 3 was the number one movie that year so a sequel is coming.

Superhero Hype! recently talked to J.K. Simmons (AKA J. Jonah Jameson) on the set of his new comedy, I Love You, Man, with Paul Rudd and Jason Segel, and asked a few Spider-Man 4 questions: SHH!: So we know that James Vanderbilt is close to turning in a script for "Spider-Man 4." Have they reached out to you yet? J.K. Simmons: We sort of check in once in a while. They say, you know, we want J.K. to do it. We don't know where. We don't know when. We don't know who. We don't know anything, you know? They signed all of us for the first three films. Sam, Tobey, all the way down the line to me and we'll see where it goes. I mean its all conjecture and you guys probably know more than I do at this point. There was talk of doing four and five concurrently and I don't know if they're still considering that or not and I spoke to Tobey in I guess it was February, sort of awards season time and he's certainly amenable to doing some more and hopefully we'll be able to get everybody back and make another good one. SHH!: Or a couple of 'em? Simmons: Couple, three, four, five! Whatever. You know, I could buy a bigger house. SHH!: What if Sam decides not to come back as a director but stays as a producer, would you guys still be... Simmons: Well... SHH!: Would you and the rest of the gang still come back? Simmons: Well, I can only speak for myself, but if Sam were not the director but still had a hand in it then I would certainly have a reasonable amount of faith in it. Obviously if he's the director I'm there 100%. If he's not involved at all, which I think is VERY unlikely, then it would be a situation that I would have to think about. But if he's involved, hopefully directing or at least as a producer then, I'm pretty confident that it would be something that I wanna do. Plus they pay money. http://www.superherohype.com/news/spider-mann ... Quote: ComingSoon.net/Superhero Hype! talked to "Spider-Man" franchise director Sam Raimi this week and got his thoughts on making more sequels. "James Vanderbilt is writing the script and I'm excited to read it. I think it's going to be done in a few months," Raimi told us, adding, "I'm hoping it's as great as our discussions were about it and I'm hoping it feels right for me because I love Spider-Man. I'm hoping I'm well rested enough to embrace it and I'm hoping Sony wants me to do it. If all of those things come together, I would love to do it. There are a lot of unknowns about the future." And how does he feel about re-casting key players if needed? "I'd hate to re-cast anybody in the future, I can't imagine that." __________________ |

Well, I dont like the idea of re-making another spiderman. I think Tobey may be geeky, but hes still a good spidey. I so hope that the fourth is as good as the third. Who do you want as a villain in it?
Hey, how do I delete posts? Can I? |

The settings of the forum allow for editing within a certain time period. It's a safeguard put in by the writer of the script to prevent hacking I guess. __________________ |

Hmm well I think the Kingpin is good as player in the movie, but there needs to be a villain with a lot of power to really take on Spider-Man in a street fight. I don't know maybe bring on a bad guy from another comic book series. I'd also like to see more on the Sandman. I really liked what they did with his character. I would have been happy if they would have left Venom out completely to be honest.
I know how about Sandman teams up with Hydro Man and winds up turning into a giant monster like what happened way back in Spider-Man 218 __________________ |

| I never really liked hydro-man, I thought he was unrealistic. But a villain I liked was the lizard. I mean he was in the other movies, why not make him the nemesis he was originally? | ||

I like the Lizard ok. Seen him done so much on the cartoons though. I'd like to see something I've haven't seen a lot of already.
I know what would be cool if the Human Torch guest starred like in the old comic book days and they teamed up to fight a couple of old school Marvel bad guys on the street of New York. __________________ |

| but the fantastic four has already been done. how could you separate him from the team? what if they brought in a female villain for once? how about Silver Sable? I mean, they could make her part of the original team and maybe add a love conflict between the two. what do ya think? | ||

I don't know. I never really got into most of the stories that had Silver Sable in it. I always liked the Black Cat especially those Peter Parker the Spectacular Spider-Man Black Cat stories from the 80's. Maybe they should redo that one somehow. Doctor Octopus shows up and almost kills the Black Cat and Spider-Man almost kills Doctor Octopus. __________________ |

I have always loved Black Cat also, but I dont think they could incorporate her into the story. Im just sick of the story revolving around MJ. If they killed her in the fourth movie by the hand of another villain, it would make for a great story.
Have you watched the MTV version of spiderman? Well if you havent, theyre was a villain named Roxanne that could control others mind. Maybe thats it, MJ didnt die. Maybe it was a ploy to help her kill a mark and take the credit. Hmmm? |

Oh yeah, I've got the DVD set I thought it was a pretty good show. I think MTV was probably not the best outlet for a superhero show. It would have had higher ratings probably on the SCI-FI channel. __________________ |

What I would really love to see is a channel dedicated to superheroes 24 hours a day. Think of all the old cartoon series, and live action shows they could rerun not to mention all the movies. It would be a fan boy's dream wouldn't it? __________________ |
