If Tobey hadn't been able to do Spiderman 2, I think Jake Gyllenhaal would have been a great choice for Spiderman. He reminds me a lot of Tobey. So far I've seen him play on "October Sky" where he is a teen living in mining town that uses rocket science to get out and gains a career at NASA. He was also pretty good in "The Day After Tomorrow". If Tobey gets tired of Spiderman I think they ought to give Jake a chance at it.
