Anybody got Venom's first full appearance of Venom in Spider-Man #300? If you've got a graded 9.8 NM copy you might be able to fetch up to $1250 dollars for it, and I'll be the closer we get to Spider-Man 3's release the more it will be worth.

Take heart though an ungraded NM issue only costs a 150 dollars.

If you can't afford to even buy a ungraded issue of Spider-Man #300 then how about the recompilation book Spider-Man VS Venom. You can get it for around 40 bucks, and it reprints not only the entire issue #300 but also 315, 316 and 317. These were some of the most popular Spider-Man issues since the Stan Lee days thanks not only to Venom but the great artwork by Todd McFarlane.

But there's good news for those of us who are willing to wait for good deals. A new recompilation of the Venom saga is going to be released April, 04, 2007 to go along with the movie. It's called Spider-Man birth of Venom and right now Amazon's price is only  $19.79. It Collects Secret Wars #8; Amazing Spider-Man #252-259, #298-300 & #315-317; Fantastic Four #274 and Web of Spider-Man #1

This is the cover coming from Amazon right now, but I'm willing to bet it's not the right one. It appears to be just the cover from the original issue #316.

I got a miniture reprint of issue #300 with a Spiderman Origins dvd from Walmart. The dvd was pretty cool, it talked about the spiderman origins line from hasbro and talked alot about the black costume, symbiote, and venom chapters in spiderman history. It was a great dvd, plus I love reprints of comics that I dont have. I'll probably pick this tpb coming out in April, it sounds like a good one

I need to get it, I probably will never be able to afford or luck out on getting Spider-Man #300. I always have that hope though that it will pop up in a 50 cent box by some miracle.

I once got some early X-men for less than a dollar a piece. I think it was like 50 cents but I'm not sure. Got the original double sized end to the Phoenix saga, and even got the original Todd McFarlane Wolverine vs the Grey Hulk at a comic book convention real cheap like below a dollar. The guy said it wasn't a perfect copy so it was cheaper but honestly I couldn't see anything wrong with it. I figure it was at least close to near mint.
